if i make a list the night before a day off or a day where i don’t work until the afternoon there’s like an 89% chance that I’ll have a pretty swell day. if i’m able to check things off the list while listening to good music the whole time, i’m in a generally less pissy, happy mood.
If i don’t make a list or have goals for my day, i’ll have a crap day...

What do I want???
That thought just struck me. This whole past year has been a year of me probing friends, family, God, strangers I meet at work, coworkers, and pretty much anyone who can talk for an answer to the question of what’s the best “next step” for me to take in my life. Stay in my hometown for a couple more years and finish school? Move to Chicago and finish school?...

I have approximately a lot of cities that I’m tracking on Songkick because of my trip, so I added Milan today… And Atoms for Peace is playing there on July 17. Just so happens I might be in the neighborhood from the 15-18…. I just asked my sister if she’d be down… That would be AWESOME.
One month from today I’m leaving for Spain. Two months from today I’ll be leaving Spain to go to Italy for a couple days…then to Barcelona and Amsterdam. WWWHEWWWY

Some time ago I gave my mom a One Direction CD I bought at Goodwill and put it on her computer for her. She’s a little bit technically challenged and doesn’t have any other music in her itunes library. So she listens to One Direction a lot.

James Blake show was pretty great. His voice is magic. The bass was hardly thumping enough for Limit To Your Love.
I ended up going to the DJ set bc it was $5 instead of $16. The music was just fine, but dang I really hated the vibe. Super uppity, and I get the feeling a lot of people were there for the party, not because they actually like JB. And hardly anyone was dancing… c’mon...
Everyone needs to see “Two Pages” by Philip Glass performed at one point. It’s hilarious, repetitive, awful, and awesome all at once.
James Blake is doing a DJ set after his show tomorrow and it’s $16 but I will not go. I will practice self control. Self discipline. Financially wise decisions. I will not buy a ticket I will not buy a ticket I will not buy a ticket. So help me God.
the national is playing in st. louis at LouFest. and so are local natives… and twin shadow… and icona pop… and the killers… tickets are $75 which is money i really probably don’t have, but tickets are only going to get more expensive. i must see the national.
life is just really overwhelming and i don’t know what the hell i am doing.

Did anyone buy Retrograde by James Blake on vinyl and not get a download code? I assumed it would, but nothing on the front says it comes with one and i don’t see anything inside the record… that’s kinda dumb…

•Worked 8:30-3:30. Had some really great customers (which is kind of unusual). A character named Justin who was quite jovial, a NOLS instructor named Steve, a nice lady named Jen, a guy who wore a size 16 shoe, and Pat, a local bar owner who I talked to for a solid 30 minutes.

RSD is the dang best thing. I got two free beers (no records other than a non RSD release- James Blake) and its a beautiful day and they’ve got bands playing all day. So lovely. Wish I had more record-loving friends. Gettin’ tipsy bahmahself

Sweeeet. I do hope this is similar in nature to the BQE? But probably not. If Sufjan’s making new music, it’s just gonna be even weirder than his latest release.
